A2017-28 - 09 November 2017 - Air Niugini’s Authorization Application to code-share with Air Vanuatu

Air Niugini is the largest PNG-domiciled regular public transport carrier, solely owned by the State or the Government of Papua New Guinea (GoPNG). Its main business is the provision of domestic and international air passenger and airfreight services

Air Vanuatu which was established in 1981 and is 100% owned by the Government of Vanuatu. The airline has a long history of involvement with Qantas including code-share arrangements, maintenance and pilot training services. Air Vanuatu’s international destinations include Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Noumea, Auckland, Nadi and Suva. It has existing codeshare arrangements with Air New Zealand, Fiji Airways and Qantas Airways.

On 09th November, 2017, Air Niugini applied for Authorization to code-share with Air Vanuatu on the Port Moresby to Port Vila route (via Honiara).
