1. Complaints
on Unfair Trade Practises
This
is a registry for complaints relating to unfair trade practices.
Complaints forwarded to the ICCC are investigated and assessed.
The outcome of the ICCC’s determination is then made known
to the parties concerned.
2. Authorisations
This
is the registry for authorisations. An authorisation is the
granting of immunity by the ICCC to an applicant proposing
to engage in mergers and some form of anti-competitive conduct
that is prohibited by the ICCC Act. Authorisation may be
given where the anti-competitive detriment is out weighed
by the public benefit. Immunity granted can be revoked by
the ICCC.
3. Clearances
Clearance
is where the proposed acquisition has no substantially lessening
of competition in a market. The ICCC can give clearance to
businesses and individuals proposing to acquire other businesses,
if the ICCC is satisfied that the acquisition will not have
and will not likely to have the effect of substantially lessening
competition.
4. Undertakings
This
registry contains summaries of undertakings that the ICCC
has considered for proposed mergers under authorisations
and clearances applications. |
