WEIGHTS AND MEASURES

The ICCC is responsible for ensuring that all forms of weighing instruments used in trading are certified correct for trade purposes. These also apply to ensuring that businesses have proper labeling of products and complying with international recognized quality and safety standards. These requirements are necessary under the Trade Measurement, Packaging and Bread Acts enforced by ICCC.

Businesses are morally and legally obliged to conduct their trading honestly and correctly in the weighing instruments they use, correct labeling of their products and consumers likewise are responsible to ensure they understand their rights to safety and information.
